WATER

Natural spring water, good enough to drink!

GLYCERIN

A naturally occurring compound derived from plant oils or animal fats and is commonly used in washes for its moisturising and healing properties. It helps to attract and retain moisture in the skin, preventing dryness and cracking. Glycerin also forms a protective barrier on the skin, aiding in the healing of minor cuts and irritations while providing soothing relief to sensitive or irritated skin. Its gentle, non-toxic nature makes it safe for regular use on dogs and cats.

SORBITAN OLEATE DECYLGLUCOSIDE CROSSPOLYMER

Is a plant-derived, biodegradable emulsifier and surfactant commonly used in washes. It effectively combines oil and water-based ingredients, ensuring a stable and uniform product. This ingredient is gentle on the skin, helping to cleanse without stripping natural oils, making it suitable for dogs and cats with sensitive skin. Additionally, it enhances the spreadability of the wash, ensuring even coverage and efficient cleaning while maintaining the product's mild and non-irritating nature.

MAGNESIUM SULPHATE

Commonly known as epsom salt, this is a naturally occurring mineral compound used in washes for its anti-inflammatory and soothing properties. It helps to cleanse and detoxify by drawing out impurities, relieving soreness, and reducing inflammation. Additionally, it promotes healing of minor wounds and softens dry and rough skin, making it an effective treatment for maintaining overall skin health, especially after strenuous activity or exposure to rough surfaces.

PROPANEDIOL

A glycol derived from corn sugar; it is used in washes for its moisturising, skin-conditioning, and penetration-enhancing properties. It helps to retain moisture in the skin, keeping it soft and hydrated while also enhancing the absorption of other beneficial ingredients. Propanediol is gentle and non-irritating, making it suitable for dogs and cats with sensitive skin.

TOTAROL

Is a natural extract derived from the bark of the Totara tree, native to NZ, known for its potent antibacterial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties. In washes, Totarol helps protect against bacterial infections and soothes inflamed or irritated skin. VANILLA ESSENCE

Derived from vanilla beans, it is commonly used in washes primarily for its pleasant and soothing aroma. While it doesn't have significant therapeutic properties for the skin, its sweet scent can enhance the sensory experience of the wash, making it more enjoyable for both the pet and the owner. Additionally, the comforting aroma of vanilla can have a calming effect, which may help relax anxious pets. When this ingredient is used, it is used in moderation to give a subtle aroma which will not irritate our precious pets.

CUCUMBER HYDROSOL

A distilled water-based extract from cucumber, it is used in washes for its cooling, soothing, and hydrating properties. Rich in vitamins and antioxidants, cucumber hydrosol helps to calm irritated or inflamed skin, making it ideal for soothing sensitive or sun-exposed skin. Its hydrating nature helps to maintain moisture balance in the skin, keeping it soft and supple.

POTASSIUM SORBATE AND SODIUM BENZOATE

Potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate are synthetic preservatives derived from naturally occurring compounds in fruits. They are widely used in pet care products like paw washes due to their antimicrobial properties, which inhibit the growth of mould, yeast, and bacteria, thereby extending the product's shelf life. Both ingredients are considered safe for use on pets when used at recommended concentrations, making them an effective choice for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the product.

Common salt used as a viscosity (flow) adjuster to the formula.

MALTODEXTRIN

Is a polysaccharide derived from starch, commonly sourced from corn, rice, or potatoes. In personal care and pet care products like a paw wash, maltodextrin serves as a stabilizer, binding agent, and texture enhancer.

BLUEBERRY FRUIT EXTRACT

Blueberry fruit extract is derived from the blueberry fruit and is rich in antioxidants, particularly vitamin C and anthocyanins. Its antioxidant properties help to protect the skin from environmental damage and oxidative stress, which can be particularly beneficial for soothing and repairing skin. Additionally, blueberry extract has anti-inflammatory and moisturizing effects, helping to calm irritated skin and maintain hydration.

ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE

Aloe vera juice, derived from the aloe vera plant, is widely known for its soothing, hydrating, and healing properties. MACROPIPER EXCELSUM (KAWAKAWA)
